Review or Change a Bundle

1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Duct Tab select the Review/Change command:

   

2. Select a bundle to review or change.
3. The Duct Element Review dialog box opens.

   

4. Select a bundle type.
5. The Move Internals dialog box opens.

   

6. Select one duct from the Current Duct display and one duct from the New Duct display, and click either the ==> or <== button to move cable to the new conduit.

   Note: When changing bundle types, and moving conduits from one bundle to another using the ‘Move Internals’ dialog box, the conduit internals (i.e. any ownership assignment information and all of the cables) are what is moved from one bundle to another. The move is not just moving the cables, but is re-assigning all of the ‘internal’ information from one bundle to another.

   For example, it would not be possible to change from a bundle with 2 conduits (with both having contents or ownership assignment), to a bundle with only 1 conduit. Any individual conduit containing cables or ownership information in the original bundle, must be moved to its own individual conduit in the new bundle.

   When using bundles that contain conduits nested inside of conduits, switching from one conduit to another is accomplished by right clicking on a different conduit (after highlighting the first conduit).

7. Key in a unique Name for the bundle.
8. Activate the Post check box to post the bundle information on the map.
9. Key in a new length or click the Calculate button to retrieve bundle length drawn on the map.
10. Activate the Display assigned conduit only check box to hide conduit not already assigned from the display window.
11. Select the conduit color from the Conduit Display Color list box.
12. Click Apply to confirm and save changes.

Review a Conduit

1. Select Review Conduit from the Mode pull-down menu and double click on the desired conduit.
2. The Conduit Review dialog box opens.

   

3. Key in a conduit name, owner, and lessee. It is also possible to review cable by highlighting it in the Cable list and clicking the Review button.

Move a Cable from One Conduit to Another

1. Select Move Contents from the Mode pull-down menu.
2. Select a cable on the window display and select a destination conduit.
3. The cable is removed from the original conduit and placed inside the new conduit.

Change Enclosure Wall Attachment

1. Select a wall from the Wall pull-down menu for each enclosure linked to the bundle.

   

2. Click Apply to confirm and save changes.

Change the Custom Attributes of a Bundle

1. From the Duct Element Review dialog box, click on More.
2. The DUCT_CA dialog box opens.

   

3. Modify the current duct attributes as necessary and click Update.
   Note: The More button and the DUCT_CA dialog box will only be available if custom attributes for the duct were initially created in the database. Refer to the administration guide for more information on creating custom attributes.
